These excursions are exclusive events for Stitchers’ Escapes. You must be registered for the 2025 Escape to Alaska cruise to participate.
General Information
We arranged these excursions with Celebrity, which means we have all the benefits of taking a ship excursion: guaranteed first off the ship, guaranteed return to the ship, and most convenient access to the tour bus. However, you will register for our excursions through Stitchers’ Escapes rather than Celebrity. Therefore, you will not see our excursions on your cruise planner after booking. Tickets are provided to the Stitchers’ Escapes crew and distributed to the group on board.
For all excursions, please notify us on your registration form if you use a wheelchair or motorized scooter. We will work with the Celebrity staff to provide the most comfortable experience possible.
Each tour has a minimum and maximum number of guests. If it appears that we will not reach this minimum, we reserve the right to cancel an excursion and return the registration fees for that excursion.
When the excursion groups need to split up, we make every effort to keep roommates and people traveling together in the same group.
Registration
Registration will open on February 8, 2025 at approximately 11am Eastern time. At that time, we will post a link to the registration form here and send it out via email. You will register for classes and excursions at the same time. We’ll have a preview of the classes in the newsletters, and full details will be announced in January, 2025.
If you will be paying for yourself and your traveling companion(s), you will be able to submit a registration form for everyone. If you need to submit a registration for someone who will pay for themselves, you will need to submit an individual form for each person. The Stitchers’ Escapes Crew will be unable to split invoices for multiple people on the same registration form.

We’ll start our adventure at the breathtaking Mendenhall Glacier. Our two-hour visit will allow plenty of time to explore one of the many trails leading from the visitor’s center. There’s something for everyone. Take a stroll along the short, paved path to Photo Point for a stunning glacier view. If you’re feeling more adventurous, explore the 2-mile round trip to Nugget Falls and get up close with the rushing waterfall. And, be sure to allow time to explore the visitor’s center and catch their short film about the glacier. Those that want a more relaxing visit can view the glacier from the center’s observation area.
Then, we’ll travel to Glacier Gardens, where we’ll find a gorgeous botanic garden nestled in the temperate rainforest. Covered vehicles will convey us on a guided tour through the gardens and old growth forest and up Thunder Mountain, where we’ll get one of the best possible views of Alaska’s capital city.
This is an extended version of one of Celebrity’s standard excursions that is only available to our group
